Hope Changes Doubt.

I don't believe
in the same God
I used to.
Is God even there?
Does he love me?
I'm afraid of this
uncertainty.
If God is powerful enough to prevent this,
why didn't he?
My previous ideas
about who God is
don't make sense anymore.
I don't know
what to
believe in.
How can I
pray to a God
I don't understand?
Why can't I hold on to the simple beliefs
of my childhood?
I'm tired of
questioning
everything.
I want answers.
I want to be certain.
You are not alone.

God is present in the midst of struggle. Learn more about the hope that changes doubt through video stories and scripture below.

Can you solve the
mysteries of God?
Can you discover everything about the
Almighty?
-Job,
The Bible
God's
nature is beyond
human understanding,
yet he is near to me.

O Lord, you have always been our home.

Before you created the hills

or brought the world into being,

you were eternally God,

and will be God forever.

Psalm 90:1-2

Oh, how great are God's riches

and wisdom and knowledge!

How impossible it is for us to understand

his decisions and his ways!

Romans 11:33

To whom can God be compared?

How can you describe what he is like?

Isaiah 40:18
God
reveals his
truth to me.

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

Matthew 7:7-8

When, however, the Spirit comes,

who reveals the truth about God,

he will lead you into all the truth.

John 16:13a

Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

John 8:31-32
God
increases my faith
and knowledge of
him by his grace.

But by the free gift of God's grace all are put right with him through Christ Jesus, who sets them free.

Romans 3:24

But God was merciful to me because I did not yet have faith and so did not know what I was doing. And our Lord poured out his abundant grace on me and gave me faith and love which are ours in union with Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 1:13b-14

It is by God's grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God's gift, so that no one can boast about it. God has made us what we are, and in our union with Jesus Christ he has created us for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for us to do.

With God
my trials are opportunities to
know him more fully.

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

James 1:2-5

So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold–though your faith is far

more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials,

it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

1 Peter 1:6-7
With God
my searching
leads
to greater spiritual maturity.

Be like newborn babies, always thirsty for the pure spiritual milk, so that by drinking it you may grow up and be saved. As the scripture says, You have found out for yourselves how kind the Lord is.

1 Peter 2:2-3

So let us stop going over the basic teachings

about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead

and become mature in our understanding.

Hebrews 6:1a

Do your best to add goodness to your faith; to your goodness add knowledge; to your knowledge add self-control; to your self-control add endurance; to your endurance add godliness; to your godliness add Christian affection; and to your Christian affection add love. These are the qualities you need, and if you have them in abundance, they will make you active and effective in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:5-8
With God
I can walk
confidently in the mysteries of life.

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it."

Isaiah 55:8-10a, 11

But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God's deep secrets. No one can know a person's thoughts except that person's own spirit, and no one can know God's thoughts except God's own Spirit. And we have received God's Spirit (not the world's spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us. For, "Who can know the Lord's thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?" But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:10-12, 16

For since the world began, no ear has heard,

and no eye has seen a God like you,

who works for those who wait for him!

Isaiah 64:4
